This client has office and warehousing locations around the globe, two of which were only hours apart from each other. The printer wanted to consolidate the two facilities by moving the personnel, storage, equipment, materials and products from one regional site to the other.

The Solution

Then, Armstrong’s crews jumped into action, emptying the office space by helping to find buyers for unneeded assets and removing low-voltage cabling.

Armstrong disassembled all office cubicles and desks, uninstalled equipment such as televisions, removed projector screens and packed up workstations. Armstrong recycled furniture that the client could not resell, keeping detailed records to ensure as little as possible ended up in a landfill. Armstrong even patched holes and removed debris to ready the office space for the next tenant.

The accompanying warehouse required similar comprehensive packing, moving and decommissioning services. As a printing company with a large inventory of valuable equipment, the client relied on Armstrong to disconnect machines, prepare them for transit and reinstall them at the other location. Some equipment needed specialty lifts, which Armstrong handled efficiently and effectively.

Armstrong also used decades of experience in warehousing and logistics to pack and move hundreds of pallets from storage to the second location. Before leaving the warehouse, Armstrong returned the space to “broom-swept” condition by removing data lines and electrical conduit, performing minor repairs to baseboards and drywalls and removing every last nail, screw or paperclip from the floors.
