Local school systems operate dozens of elementary, middle and high schools. Several schools are on a year-round calendar, operating throughout the year with three-week breaks after every nine-week term. The Triangle area is also known for its prestigious research universities, community colleges and liberal arts colleges, including the University of North Carolina, North Carolina State University  and several others.

Dining

In addition to world-class restaurants, Raleigh is known for its food festivals and events. The food scene is also very eclectic with places like Brewery Bhavana, which includes a brewery, bookstore, flower shop, and dim sum restaurant, all in one space. You can also dine at Zweli’s Kitchen, what is said to be the only Zimbabwean restaurant in the U.S., located on a busy street just west of downtown Durham.
